| The 12th traditional aikido seminar led by Stephane Benedetti took place in Elista, the capital of Kalmykia. The seminar was included in the list of the republican actions devoted to the 65-th anniversary of the Great Victory. It was attended by more than fifty aikidoka’s from nine cities of the South of Russia. At the opening ceremony Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Head of Kalmykia, FIDE President, and Vyacheslav Namruev, Mayor of Elista, congratulated participants with the seminar’s opening and the Viktory Day. They noted a stable development of aikido in the republic and the old ties of friendship between sensei Benedetti and Kalmykia.

Seminar of Stephane Benedetti in Elista
| On May 6 – 8, 2010 the 12th annual seminar of Stephane Benedetti (6th dan Aikido Aikikai), a student of Tamura sensei, the head of “Mutokukai Europe” will be held in Elista, the capital of Kalmykia. | The All-Russian action “The power of word”, carried out with participation of the Russian Union of Martial Arts and the Union of Russian Journalists, launched in St. Petersburg. The action was aimed at ensuring the safety of journalists in the performance of their professional duties. The first practice session was held on March 24, 2010 in the Integrated high sports school under the direction of Valeriy Skrylev, President Aikido Federation of Saint-Petersburg. From March to November 2010 is planned to hold a series of professional trainings, master-classes, consultations for media professionals with participation of high quality experts in the field of martial arts and psychological crises.
