We congratulate the winners of Oscar award!
The 10th anniversary world-wide sport martial arts Oscar award presentation took place in Atlantic-city, the USA, on January 8 and 9, 2010.Three Russian representatives were nominated for this prestigious martial arts prize. All three of them are members of St. Petersburg branch of Russian Union of Martial Arts:
- A.G.Levitsky, professor of St. Petersburg Lesgaft State University of Physical Education, co-author of the book “Judo” by V.V. Putin, was nominated as a Grandmaster of the Year for Judo
- N.V. Smirnov, the president of the International College of Martial Arts Aimak, a member of the Administrative Union of St. Petersburg branch of Russian Union of Martial Arts, was nominated as a Grandmaster-Mentor
- A.E. Solovyev, the vice-president in combative martial arts of St. Petersburg Regional League of Martial Arts was nominated as a Grandmaster of the Year for Wushu.
